About me

My professional career, just like my life, has been very colourful, full of twists, diligent study, hard work, great commitment, and continuous inner growth.

Despite my excellent academic achievements and talents, the post-revolutionary euphoria and the unrepeatable atmosphere - accompanying the period of changes and new beginnings - diverted me from my original intention to study psychology or foreign languages at university. Studying the field of Radiology Assistant seemed to be an acceptable compromise. During the 5 years I worked in this field at the Central Military Hospital in Prague, computer technologies were gaining a dominant position in radiodiagnostics, which affected me so much that I became more interested in computers. With the world market introduction of Windows 95, my future focus was definitely decided. In 1997, after obtaining adequate education, I started lecturing in the field of computing technologies and Microsoft Office in the training facilities of KB Zbraslav and ČSOB Praha. At the same time, I worked as a certified bodybuilding and fitness trainer.

Despite my previous interests and work focus, my talent for languages finally prevailed. I spoke fluent English, German, and Russian. So the Turkish language was a big challenge for me. Turkey, which I visited in 1998, its language, culture, interpersonal and family relationships, the atmosphere, and the country as such - all of that absolutely fascinated me. I lived in Istanbul from 1999, living in Antalya between the years 2004 and 2016. In 2001, I started my translation and interpreting activities within ITBG - Istanbul Tercüme Büroları Grubu (group of translation companies in Istanbul), and at about the same time my long-standing and ongoing cooperation with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Istanbul has begun. During my stay in Istanbul I also worked as a foreign trade advisor at Gold Grup Kuyumculuk Ithalat ve Ihracat San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (Altıbaş Holding). I continued my translation and interpreting activities in Antalya with the status of sworn court interpreter, registered at Antalya's 3rd and 13th notaries. Another experience worth mentioning was my work as a delegate for DE&HA Turizm and a foreign trade assistant at Ercan Makina Ltd. Antalya. In 2010 I received Turkish citizenship.

After returning to the Czech Republic in 2016, I have extended my translating and interpreting activities to include teaching of Turkish language for both beginners and advanced students in cooperation with the Light Point language school, which provides courses of Turkish language accredited by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. I can only say that it is the teaching activity that allows me to fully use my ability to teach and pass my knowledge and experience to people who need it. This work makes me feel fulfilled and I really enjoy it a lot.

The status of a court interpreter in the Czech Republic is incompatible with my personal life, as the obligations associated with it are very demanding in terms of time and organization.
